Basement Remodel

This basement was just bare concrete walls with a bedroom in the corner when we got to it. Now it has a living area with a double-sided fireplace, a wet bar, a poker area, a bathroom with industrial facets and a really neat custom cabinet.

This is the view of the room immediately at the bottom of the staircase. You can see the double-sided fireplace, the sliding barn door and the wet bar peaking around the backside of the fireplace.

This is the view looking back at the base of the staircase. The custom cabinet doors open up to reveal the sound and video equipment for the TV.

Here is the view of the large living space. You can see that behind the couch is a custom made bookshelf with a seat that extends out under the window and allows for storage of blankets, pillows, games, and more.

The industrial style sconces give the back of the fireplace a great modern look.

The two-sided fireplace pumps natural gas through crystals to achieve a unique and random flame pattern.

Here's the wet bar, complete with a wine-rack, microwave, and a place for a mini-fridge. The floating shelves are an excellent accent as well.

Here you're looking at a door to the unfinished storage area of the basement. It houses the electrical, water heater, and cat litter box. We even framed in a cat door so the door to this space doesn't have to always be left open.

The toilet paper holder was made out of the industrial pipe and placed vertically. Something like this could also be placed horizontally.
