Bathroom & Basement Makeover

The design challenge was to come up with a design for the ceiling in the main rooms and finish a bathroom that integrated into the existing eclectic space with an industrial vibe.

A new ceiling was added on the left side of the wooden bulkhead to enhance the existing painted joists. A barn door hides the storage room.

The full tile wall is an artpiece viewed from the doorway into the bathroom. The new barn door mimics the look of the existing wainscotting.

Galvalum wall panels were installed behind the sink and to the full shower wall. Hex tiles floor to ceiling expand the small bathroom while a tall highboy adds a pop of black and storage for linens.

Adding to the industrial look is a round vintage mirror, a sink on an old vintage sewing machine trestle and the corner glass cabinet. Stainless steel sconces with black metal lamps complete the look.

A new 'vintage style' fixture was added while the floor to ceiling tile and Galvalum enhance the shower area.
