BATHROOM and CLOSET OVERHAUL
2nd floor remodel of main bath and dressing area. Showing process from beginning to end.
Originally the bathroom was a long and narrow space, that also acted as the hallway to another room at it's opposite end. The narrow room with the window was used as a dressing room/closet.
The renovation involved moving the bathroom to the other side of this narrow house, into the space that had been a dressing room. This opened up the landing, allowing it and the resulting hallway to be used for lots of storage (and to act as a normal hallway rather than as both hall and bathroom!) The new square shape (only 7'x7') of the bathroom, and its exposure to natural light that travels through into the open areas, makes it feel much more spacious. The landing is now an open space so the whole house feels larger.
