The guest bathroom remodel started by gutting to studs and borrowing space from an adjoining rooms coat closet. Ceilings were taken to full height by removing the old fir-down boxes above the original vanity and tub location. A stem wall was added to hide the toilet and new vanity centered on wall with the extra space gained from the removal of the coat closet. Tub surround was treated with a subway and arabesque tile combination with a recessed nook. Floor tile is a large format 12" x 48" porcelain, with a decorative mosiac patterned tile framing it in around the perimeter of bathroom. Wainscoting with glass tile above it and layered crown moulding create finishing touches to bring the room together. Kohler cast iron tub and Kohler one piece toilet.
