Crowley Cottrell designed this Beacon Hill rooftop with an elegant uniformed aesthetic. We reconciled the client’s modernist preferences with Beacon Hill Historic district regulations. The design uses a constrained palette of blackened stainless steel, ipe, concrete and planting. With careful engineering, the custom railing looks satisfyingly uniform without any large intermediate posts.
