One of our Mexico City designers (yes, we have a very international team here at Jarret Yoshida, Inc.) spotted this fantastic example of how lighting can be integrated into furniture, and how shapes continue to move away from 90 degree angle rectangles. Whether it is going to be in the headboard or this very winding, assertively organic arabesque shape of this tree, it would have changed the whole mood entirely had this all been typical straight lines. How will minimalism move forward? This seems like one clear direction I am falling in love with as the new year opens.
