Bellevue - Custom Media Wall
This Bellevue family wanted to make better use of a small living room without making it feel crowded. The homeowners, including a self-described A/V enthusiast, came to Lakeville with a clear vision and a 2-D drawing of what they had in mind.
They wanted a custom media wall with built-in storage for audio-video equipment, concealed storage, an electric fireplace, a wine cooler, and wiring for surround sound. The design also needed to work with the proportions of the existing room.
Lakeville built custom cabinetry and nooks around the room’s limited footprint, creating space for each element while keeping the overall design balanced. A SimpliFire Allusion Slim 72" electric fireplace anchors the media wall, while an Avallon dual-zone wine cooler is integrated into the cabinetry. New recessed lighting and selective interior painting helped tie the new work into the rest of the home.
The project required careful planning to fit the technology, storage, fireplace, and wine cooler into a compact space without taking over the room. The result is a custom media wall that gives the family a place to watch, listen, store, and entertain while making better use of the living room they already had.
