Beresford

The kitchen in this High Park victorian home was charming ( read : falling apart ) and in need of an update. While the owners loved the original wide plank pine floors, they were in poor condition and have been replaced with sleek grey heavy wearing marmoleum. The one remaining authentic element of the original Victorian era is the tin ceiling which is painted matte white and brilliantly contrasts with the modern flat panel cabinet doors. The kitchen's size and look is increased by carrying the same cabinetry into the rear addition, once an eat-in area, now serves as a very practical mudroom and homework space.
