Our engineering mindset means we never shy away from a construction challenge. This couple was looking to revitalize the kitchen in which they had once fueled a growing family. As they moved into the next chapter of their lives, they wanted to reinvent the space as a place to host busting social gatherings. They had been working with kitchen designers, but were uninspired by the results. Once wary of calling attention to the raised ceiling, we suggested emphasizing it for added drama and visual interest. We mapped out the space to maximize its utility while creating a strategic focal point via the range nestled under the ceiling's peak. PLD devised lighting solutions to highlight the unique dimensions of the room. A custom accent backsplash and geometric window treatments tastefully incorporated the client’s love of purple in an elegant and subtle way.
