Boho Traveler's Home

This wonderful contemporary is in a peaceful San Fernando Valley neighborhood full of mature trees and mountain views. The couple had their first grandchild on the way and wanted to address the home's aesthetics before the baby came. They'd already tackled the kitchen on their own. They entertain a TON, so we made the living room an extension of the dining room. There is a drop leaf table to seat 8 additional guests, using the sofa and chairs, and the coffee table as a bench. The two consoles can be used as serving tables. The sofa was a family piece that we had recovered in fabulous taupe mohair, the wild flat weave rug we sourced through Anthropologie! These clients have a wonderful collection of art and accessories from all over the world, and some significant family treasure like wooden pencil boxes our client's father made in shop class featured over the towel bar int he powder room, and a free form marble sculpture on the fireplace mantle. It's a meaningful, layered space that truly reflects these clients!
