Bold and Blue Kitchen

This kitchen had suffered water damage and required all new cabinets, flooring, the works! So, instead of sticking with the sweet farmhouse look that used to be there, we updated it a bit, adding bold blue tones to the warm wood to create a gorgeous workspace for our clients.

You don't have to stick with a single color of cabinet or countertop. In this kitchen, we used a lighter stain on the wall cabinets to contrast with the navy backsplash and island. We also used a lovely, blue-veined quartz for half the counters and a bold, blue-veined granite for the rest.

As you can see, we removed the old, glass-front cabinets and replaced them with some solid doors. While we love the way glass cabinets allow light to move through a room, it wasn't necessary here. Being able to hide some of the clutter was MUCH more helpful

Where the island now sits used to be a pony wall that made the kitchen much smaller. By repurposing that area and adding some wall cabinets, we increased the usable space quite a bit.
