Bold Minimal Galley Kitchen

To add a personal touch we blew up a special photo of the baby of the family to be framed within the space.

The length of the one sided galley kitchen is opened up and becomes more usable with the custom counter-height table on the opposite wall. Patterns in window treatments and stools marry the color story while adding a sense of the clients personality.

Custom chair covers are an inexpensive way to add a pop of color, pattern and personality. These floral stools really stand out in the space!

The existing cabinets were refinished with 2 coats of Annie Sloan Chalk paint in Graphite, to achieve the darkest gray (almost black) color, in a smooth, chalky finish. They absorb the light in the space perfectly.

The cabinets are painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Graphite and we did an extra coat to get them almost black, before applying the top clear wax coat.

The backsplash was the inspiration for this kitchen. It was existing and in great shape, so we pulled the dark cabinet color and contrasting warm white wall color from the tile. It all really brings the space together while making it feel open and light.

For added storage and decor, we created a floating shelf 6' long by 10" deep painted in the same white as the wall color with a semi gloss finish. Essentials are kept within close reach while still looking great!
