Brick Walled Kitchen with Open Shelving

The urban design of this contemporary townhome is enhanced by the exposed brick wall and open shelving, designed by homeowner/designer Ashley Jewell. Ashley styled these with an eclectic assortment of family heirlooms like an antique cake stand, butter molds, and her grandmother's recipe book.

The chunky pine slabs of reclaimed wood were cut from salvaged beams. Woodwork by Maya Wood, owner of Maya Wood and Company in Barboursville Virginia.

This milk glass light fixture was refurbished by North Carolina designer Louise Gaskill, who refurbishes vintage lighting. Ashley found this years ago and stowed it away knowing it would be put to good use eventually.
