One of our favorite clients wished to renovate her home after the passing of her mother. The renovations were extensive - three bathrooms, four bedrooms, a kitchen, and the living rooms; most of the first and second floor in fact. However, our pictures focus on two unique features: a floor and a half tall custom made entertainment cabinet with a rolling library ladder, and the enigmatic "Bridge to Forever" framed on a faux balcony looking down at her bedroom door. This was easily one of our favorite projects of 2013; at Excel, nothing makes us happier than the opportunity to build our clients' dream space.

"The "Bridge to Forever" leads over a wide-flowing refreshing stream to as far as your imagination takes you… It's a peaceful walk (I grew up as an only child on the west shore of the Chesapeake Bay north of Annapolis, with the Bay in the front yard and the woods in the back and no neighbors for most of the year). It's a beckoning to new discoveries. It is the past…It is the future…restful and enlivening at the same time… good for both meditation and brainstorming…and it's always Springtime on the other side, always comforting and available when you need it!
Aside from that, it's a cool view - now from an amazingly tantalizing location!"
