Bright New Beginnings

This dated but well built family home was in need of a face lift. It is a great example of a subdivision property built in a traditional flavour, that is now being updated to a contemporary look.

The kitchen was updated and extended to be able to pull in the breakfast area which now creates a larger, more cohesive space.

A huge change we made was to remove the multiple circular staircases in the front entrance that encroached on the foyer. This opens up the area and allows more natural light to flood the foyer which creates a space to showcase the baby grand piano.

Other contemporary features added include a new fireplace and glass stair railings (which are critical to allowing light to flow throughout the great room.) We use a repeat of neutral, calming tones throughout to create harmony and flow. Wallpaper statements, stainless steel accents and new lighting add to the contemporary feel.
