Brooklyn Brownstone

Taking a brownstone back from the dead was no small feat, especially keeping budget and schedule in mind for this Brooklyn project. A slapdash kitchen renovation greeted the new owners upon purchase. Our team carefully opened up a new historically minded kitchen to the dining room, created a new back yard deck, added a powder room and refreshed the house to shine another day.

Brooklyn Brownstone Powder Room
No one likes to wash dishes, except my husband. So when we had the opportunity to add a picture window above the sink, even those (me) who dislike this chore can agree that it's not so bad. We completed the space with a fun globe pendant, soapstone countertops and simple shaker cabinets.

Lovely dining room off the open kitchen. Perfect for family gatherings and work at home or homework. We maintained the detail in this historic home and added modern touches to create a warm and inviting vibe.

By maintaining the pocket doors between the living room and dining room, we not only kept the traditional detailing but also allowed for privacy when needed. The view to the dining room from the living room is light filled and serene.

Imagine cooking while keeping an eye of the entryway, the dining table and a peek a boo view of the living room? We were able to accomplish this feat and create three distinct spaces that also offer privacy. This is living small and smart.

Traditional with a Twist
Just a light touch to an already wonderful space. New lighting, refinishing the stairway and paint did wonders for this space. A little nook was just the right spot for a table and lamp. Welcome home.
