This young professional couple was such a pleasure to design for. They have great taste, are good decision makers and were very trusting. The office wall color required just a few reassuring emails and texts ;) And because of their openness and personal style the outcome was magic. I took this project on when I was 35 weeks pregnant and was so grateful that they didn't turn me away especially considering they had a tight timeline. Since first borns usually come late, I figured I had at least 4 -5 weeks. And then my son, unexpectedly, needed enter the world via C-section at 37 weeks, just 13 days after they signed with me. It was an adventure for all of us but they were wonderfully accommodating and I feel so proud of what was accomplished during such a transitional phase of my life. I will also think of my sweet Shiloh and how much love and joy he brought into our family when I see this project.
And if that wasn't enough, there are even more exciting things about this project! It's our first ever in New York. Hopefully the first of many. AND it's a rental! As someone who has rented the majority of my adult life, I know how limiting it can feel. I hope this inspires other renters out there to personalize their spaces. It was also my first time working with my friend stylist and photographer Carley Summers. She obviously crushed it. Oh, and did I mention, that I've never even been there in person? My favorite thing about the internet is being able to take on projects all over the world without having to travel every single time.
