This repeat client really wanted their upstairs office and master bedroom to be a retreat. Given the proximity to each other, the rooms needed cohesion and balance even though they serve very different purposes and functions. They both have incredible views the ocean which are only even more dramatically framed by the wall-to-wall navy grasscloth in the bedroom, which was replicated in the office custom built-ins. The live edge desk was created locally and an additional matching piece was used to as an organic element to the built-ins. A cozy seating area in the bedroom in front of the fireplace makes it the ultimate place to read and rest.
