Brookside Residence
The Brookside Residence, a 1940’s colonial home set alongside a beautiful reservation, required an update to work for a growing family. Once a series of enclosed rooms, the first floor was opened up to allow for visibility throughout. The kitchen now serves as the central gathering space in the home with the island anchoring the space. The second floor was reworked to add a laundry room, a more functional children’s bathroom, and create a luxurious master suite. Inspired by the natural surroundings of the home, reclaimed wood elements were used throughout and complimented with bold patterns that reflect the family’s heritage.
