Our clients asked us to repair, modernize and expand this classic Craftsman bungalow with a second story addition. We replicated existing details such as the deep canted rafters and Craftsman brackets, while opening up a cramped floor plan and updating all the spaces and systems throughout the house and yard. Space was very limited by tight setbacks and other zoning regulations. The design optimizes the use of the limited space with open sightlines and efficiencies in overlapping functions of spaces.
