Needing just two spaces, and not large ones at that, the owners chose to add a kitchen and mudroom/entry off the back of the house. Difficulty in lot layout and connections to the existing 1920s bungalow, the owners chose to boldly angle the addition, changing the feel and presence of the house on the lot.
In addition to a highly-functioning kitchen and mudroom space, the house also gained a green roof and 270-degree views of the beautiful back yard.
Not tied to tradition, the owners kept their exterior trim color scheme and added the primary colors to the new angled addition.
