Recently, I was selected for design consultation and staging for a C-NET Smart Home. This “idea house” is a lovely residential property located in a quiet, wooded neighborhood east of Louisville, Kentucky, recently purchased by C-NET to provide a practical setting for presenting the latest technology for residential living. The house will be utilized for product testing, video presentations, and marketing events showcasing the latest “bells and whistles” in the industry.To accomplish this end, the house was outfitted in comfortable, contemporary furnishings which set the stage for the various activities scheduled for the space. All the warmth of a furnished home needed to be accomplished with a minimum amount of furniture and accessories. My goal was to provide and place furnishings so that these rooms feel real… welcoming, very cool, and, of course, HI TECH!
