In the Calverhall project, Cornerstone Landscape and Construction installed a combination of materials with an intent to create interest and add dimension. The old world appearance of tumbled concrete paving stone transitions into natural basalt stairs at the side of the house, and then flows back again into pavers. The retaining walls are used to define the space and create gracious planting beds while accomplishing the task of accommodating grade changes.
