Camberwell Heritage Extension

A substantial heritage overlay on a beautiful period home in Camberwell, meant that the proposed contemporary renovation and extension could not be visible from the street. Adding 3 bedrooms into the roof cavity and re-planning internally, while creating a huge entertaining area, living and dining zone, pool and double car garage has made this into a magnificent home.

Magnificent herringbone timber floors in the grand entry way lead visitors through to the large living area and new extension. A beautiful circular feature stair with exposed tiber treads and detailed balustrade lead to the new kids zone upstairs.

With a significant heritage overlay, many of the period features at the front of the house, and the entire facade had to remain unchanged, traditional elements of the original sitting room were reinstated and brought in line with e rest of the new extension.

using the original dining room and living room to create a new master suite. Many of the period features were reinstated including lead light windows, ceiling domes, and the creation of a new curved wall in the entry way to conceal a huge walk in robe and master ensuite.

Directly off the master bedroom an expansive walk in robe, retaining the original lead light window as a feature. Dark timber full height joinery provides plenty of storage, and leaders through to the marble master ensuite.
