For the interior design of this Tudor Style bungalow home, we accentuated and modernized the traditional architecture with modern details and finishes. This client favored masculine materials for his bachelor pad, so we sourced furniture made with walnut, black marble, leather, and wool. We took a sculptural approach with our selections, choosing furniture with a sense of timelessness that balances contemporary design with craft. There is a play between the modern forms and materials of the furniture and the period details of the house, with a focus on simple forms and reduced shapes. Highlights include the dining room table with a live edge center, designed and fabricated in Japan, and handmade custom rugs throughout the home.
