If you live in New England then you know what a "Cape House" looks like. From Bourne to P-Town there are some spectacular vacation homes that all have a casual "beachy" spirit to them. KMID looked to reinvent that look with this home in Cataumet. After designing this client's home in Arlington, KMID was engaged to help them furnish this newly purchased vacation home. Since everything had to be purchased new there was special care taken to have the rooms feel collected over time. KMID was also asked to make selections with a "low maintenance" effort in mind. This is a house to escape to and relax in. While the home owner asked for furnishings to feel interesting and special, nothing was to be too precious.
