This project is a renovation to an existing post and beam home in West Vancouver, B.C. The challenge was to create a new and dynamic entry point to building with an existing split personality: beautiful post and beam architecture at the rear of the home but a bland, undefined box over an open carport at the front. One was required to walk through the carport to enter the home.

The design solution was to move away from the post and beam aesthetic and create bold, simple forms at the front of the project. The existing carport was enclosed to display the clients prized racing cars, creating a unique entry experience.
