This passive house certified (pending final review) home just South of Guelph Ontario is the centerpiece for Wild Leek Farm, a new permaculture market farm run by a family of 5. Using permaculture design principles, the house uses locally available and natural resources like wood, air temperature, and the sun to create shelter in as minimal and low energy a way as possible. The home is tracking to be Net Positive, that is, generating more energy than it uses on an annual basis through the 10kW photovoltaic array on the roof.
