From above, Mexican Fencepost Cactus (Organo) spirals through native double pinnately compound leguminous trees. On the ground level, a carpet of wild marigold & dahlia (that we grew at our nursery) is punctuated by blue agaves.

In winter, the herbaceous plants die down the garden takes on a starker tone: trees, cactus, agave, bamboo.
