Cheerful Kitchen In Ruxton
Are you looking for a completely new look for your kitchen, but afraid of the cost? Greenbuilders is here to provide you exactly what you need -- customizable to your budget, timeline, and level of green. This gorgeous kitchen remodel was just all of those things for our happy homeowner.
The previous kitchen was small, dark, and cold. To save money -- and the environment -- we saved what we could, including the "Lazy Susan" fittings for the corner cabinet. The dark cabinets went to Second Chance, where they found new homes. To make this work, we spent the necessary extra time to preserve the cabinets intact and with all hardware. Then, we ordered a high efficiency window and while we were at it removed the drywall from the exterior wall so we could install a tight fit of much-needed insulation (green, of course -- UltraTouch by Bonded Logic). To create the bright, cheerful look our customer very much wanted, we used white, and added an unusual countertop -- jet blue, custom made Durat which our client designed -- check out the striped backsplash and the matching cabinet knobs we designed and made specially for her. Our custom made cabinets were Formaldehyde-free -- improving the air quality.
How did we do this all without a high price? Well, when you Greebuild, we try to "do more with less", so problem solving is a skill set we value most highly. However, you often receive a nice hefty tax deduction for salvaging materials, and purchasing eco-friendly ones. But sometimes you have to go a step further -- our countertop providers cut us a deal -- they wanted our "after" photo because the countertops turned out so well -- so in exchange we received a 30% off discount. Have we convinced you to Greenbuild yet?
