Chesterfield Outdoor Kitchen

The Project Goals:
To increase use-ability & safety of outdoor spaces.
The kitchen needs to be highly functional (for a homeowner who loves to cook!) and provide great hang-out / entertaining areas.
Structure design & general contracting by Kent Webster.

A quick simple sketch from the General Contractor conveyed necessary timber frame layout and planned work surfaces.

New deck extending over the granite and existing deck to the right. Homeowners and GC discuss the proposed ridge pitch (shown by the angled story-board).

The existing deck was under-lit, so we added a beautiful corner timber post mount (designed in collaboration with the GC to compliment the primary structure of the outdoor kitchen) and under-rail lighting.

iLight Technologies 'plexineon' LED was used to light along the soffit at left. Most lights in the outdoor kitchen are Tech Lighing 'kable' system, allowing the lights to 'float' above work & service areas.

Lighting added to the stone landing and wood main-entry steps to the right, as well as new steps leading to the left for easy access to the wood-fired pizza oven.

From behind the fire pit looking back to the new outdoor kitchen and existing house. Under-soffit lighting by iLight Technologies 'plexineon' was added to the full length of existing deck to increase use-ability and safety of the previously under-lit deck.
