The owners of this Garrison Colonial, located on a typical suburban lot, commissioned REMINGTON ARCHITECTURE to add a family room to the back of their home. As a bonus we designed this backyard pergola to help blur the line between their new interior and exterior spaces. Since the backyard was on the north side of the building, we chose a pergola over a covered porch to allow as much light to enter the interior as possible. Antique looking brick pavers, a boxwood hedge and dry laid stone planters complete the timeless look
