THE EVERYTHING ROOM

This is a family room, dining room and TV space all rolled into one. The old family room was really just a small TV viewing room with a spare bookshelf and comfy furniture. (see the "before" photo below) Except for your lap, there was no place to dine informally, nor a separate space to curl up and read a book. To solve this we created three separate spaces in one room: an informal dining area tucked under the existing low ceiling, a cozy spot beside the fire, and a TV viewing area small enough for a couple to watch a movie yet large enough to accommodate a crowd to watch the big game
