Coastal Muse

In a coastal home by the exclusive Davenport Point community in Stamford, where a family of four dips their toes in the sand, we renovated and refreshed almost every space in the house on three different floors.

We used a sophisticated palette of cream and blue throughout the main floor and now the atmosphere and the furnitures suit intimate gathering and large family get together. In the dining room the curvy back chairs go around a light wood color table and they are unholstered in soft linen. The walls are blue and the chandelier reflect a rich beautiful light. We added some patterns and texture with a natural patchwork cowhide rug.

The seating room and the living room reflect the blue palette into the pattern of the rugs and the velvet pillows placed on the bone piping denim soft couch and the twin cream sofas by the fireplace. The artwork is a balance between oil paint, watercolor and photography and it is inspired by the sea. Large mirrors framed in bone inlays are placed in the corners by the bay window. The blue palette runs in the master suite with blue raffia dressers and nightstands, chenille area rugs and calming seating area overlooking the water of the Long Island Sound.
