Come Together

When these two families came together, we took out the old, original addition that had never really worked, kept the good stuff and expanded for a brand new, opened up layout that created a welcoming place for everyone, all their friends and the newest family mascot.

The owners were on the hunt for an old door to use in the new upstairs laundry and found this beauty. Cabinets from the original kitchen were re-purposed throughout the house, including here.

Before: The previous addition was a long, narrow space that was too small for large gatherings and closed off from the rest of the house. Upstairs, small windows didn't take advantage of the natural light and views to the large, private yard.

After: Twin gables define the two new bedroom suites at the rear of the house while french doors and large windows connect the addition to the new paved patio.
