The client approached me because they own the Federalist style house and recently acquired the Italianate addition. They are looking to transform the Italianate building into a Bed & Breakfast because it has a lot of public exposure along a busy pedestrian access in the heart of a historic downtown. As part of the overall project, the clients charged me with creating a scheme that restored the Federalist style house back to its roots and add a new porch/entry to the B&B that would create a strong presence while maintaining a sense of unity across the site. The site would be finished with a conceptual landscape plan and outdoor seating area to welcome guests onto the site.
