Here's a photo of the patio before work began. You can see it's a standard concrete patio with very large shrubs surrounding it...not very inviting!

The stone fireplace was the centerpiece of the new patio. Also, the boxwood hedge had to go!

Once the fireplace was in, it was time to put in the seat walls. But first we had to check which way the concrete slab was sloped, so we could leave room for drainage.
