When we first started this project, the kitchen space was closed off and outdated. There was a 3-foot island and very little prep area. We removed two walls from the living room and dining room opening into to the kitchen. We added an 8-foot island, painted the cabinets for a fresh look, installed medium hardwood flooring and added contemporary touches to give the kitchen an upgraded look. The homeowners couldn't get over the new design and the size of their new kitchen.
