This 3,000 SF house in Virginia steps down the steep slope in a series of terraces and decks culminating in a pool. An inverted truss roof provides shading while evoking the wooded tree canopy that characterizes the site. Passive solar design, SIPS wall panels, solar panels and an array of other sustainable green strategies contribute to the low environmental impact of the design.
