Cordova Drive Lawn Conversion
This San Luis Obispo lawn was converted by Greener Environments into a drought tolerant landscape.
The ground was shaped to minimize run-off and slow rainwater as it flows down the slope to allow it to permeate into the soil. We used sheet mulching techniques to improve soil health and climate appropriate plants to minimize water usage.
The plants offer a variety of textures, height, and color. A landscape is a living, evolving thing that changes as it matures. As these newly installed plants grow, the groundcovers will spread to accentuate the contouring, the background plants will add interesting foliage and textures, and the foreground plants will bloom with lovely flowers throughout the summer.
