There is no better love affair than an amazing architecture firm paired with clients with impeccable taste. Because of a longstanding friendship between the clients and EDA Architects, we had the opportunity to work on a rare residential project and jumped on it. A true collaboration in the finest sense, the entire team worked together to create the best possible home for our clients. From architecture to composition and interiors, this home is innovative, timeless, and brimming with creativity at every turn keeping our client’s lifestyle and existing art at the forefront.

We wanted to honor the Utah landscape and also highlight the integrity of well-made materials. Shou sugi bahn siding from Japan, handmade brick from Belgium, quartzite, plaster, white oak, llate floors, wood CLT ceiling, alabaster, oh my! The indoor/outdoor dial is set to eleven.

The juxtaposition of modern minimal and eclectic is one of our favorite themes to play with. Layers upon layers of unique, handmade furnishings create an exciting living space within this home. Each piece has an origin, a maker, and will have a chance to age and patina in its own special way.

Our Burch Creek new build was only possible with such an amazing team.

Oh and did we forget to mention? She did win House of the Year by the North American Home Builders (NAHB) afterall.
