A cottage is usually a modest, often cozy dwelling, often in a rural or semi-rural location. For generations the term cottage has meant a small dwelling built in a traditional way. At Jamaica Cottage Shop we understand and embrace traditional building methods. Our cottages are built by Vermont craftsmen using post and beam construction, mortise and tenon joinery and rough hewn timbers. Whether you are considering a cottage kit or one of our prefab models, native Vermont grown lumber and traditional materials impart a unique character to all of our buildings.
