Craftsman Kitchen

"My 117 year-old craftsman bungalow has been in a constant state of construction since I bought it 26 years ago. The kitchen and adjoining back room have been a disaster for about 5 years. Having tried self home improvement, I ultimately realized that I needed help and engaged Chanie.

I had a vision of what I wanted and Chanie embraced that vision, enhanced it and turned it into reality. She has great attention to detail and her insight into design was a major reason for the success of the remodel.

It was very important to preserve the look and feel of the original architecture and to save existing features and design aspects. Where my ideas were practical, she incorporated them. Where they were not, she found alternatives that actually were improvements over mine. She thought of stuff that never would have crossed my mind. In some cases I was willing to compromise to expedite things. In those areas where she felt compromise was not appropriate, she stood her ground and I am glad she did. The entire work flow was coordinated by her as well as the hiring of tradesmen and subcontractors. In fact, my great contribution was probably staying out of the way.

For the last 6 weeks of this project I was out of town and Chanie took care of everything so that when I returned it was like going into a new home. She took great care to discuss with me all aspects to make sure that what I ended up with was what I wanted.

My vision was a new kitchen with an attached man cave. The kitchen is spectacular and the man cave turned into a man castle. I could not be more pleased with the finished product."
