This Client wanted an addition that looked like it belonged to the existing structure along with an updated kitchen, dining area and family room.
The exterior gable was made to mimic the existing and help tie the whole building together. Many people who have visited have commented that they can not tell where the original 1920's house was and the addition begins. We were able to open up and expand the kitchen by removing a wall and adding a header while still maintaining the traditional look with matching hardwood flooring. The addition also gave the family a much needed family room, additional storage and a main level laundry room.
