Custom built, Grand Entry fountain

When we started this project, the homeowner had conveyed that they wanted a grand entry fountain to make a statement for their guests. The homeowners were very involved in the community and had large fundraisers at the property. I think we crafted the perfect entry space that definitely makes a statement.

Custom built concrete fountain. The foundation and walls were both poured in place concrete with rebar and then coped with pored in place bullnose concrete at 3". The walls were then stuccoed to match the house. The basin has tiles set in waterproof grout. The tiles and Basin were then then waterproofed with Heavy Grade Thoroughseal.

The plumbing for the fountain consisted of suction and return lines for fountain flow, a circular jet ring with adjustable nozzles, a pump, filter and smart timer.

We ran underground electrical to the fountain and included 4 underwater LED changing color lights with a timer. The fountain and the bullnose steps both have rope lightings that include timers, power and switches. We also installed flush mount low voltage concrete lights for accent lighting.

We poured in place the bullnose steps with custom forms for this client and also added new section of random pattern travertine pavers with chiseled edges.

This project had quite a bit of hardscape added to it. The whole project took about 3 months to complete. The client was quite happy with the result and so were we.
