Custom Home/Art Studio

This is a home that is doubling as an art studio. It has many unique aspects to it that make it a true custom home. Please stay tuned for more pictures as the project progresses!

This picture shows the marbles going into the slab before the final finishing. Our client was very enthusiastic about this and brought several friends to help toss the marbles into the concrete. It sure gave her a sense of ownership in the project and she just loves the look!

This image shows the grinding process to reveal the beauty in the concrete aggregate. We tossed in some glass marbles and glow stones to add a little pop to the floors. These floors will be finished to a dull finish but can be polished to a high gloss finish.

Here is a sample of the flooring that has been ground and cleaned. The red dot to the left is a marble and the light great specks in the upper middle are "Glow Stones" that will give off a low glow at night adding interest to the floor even when you can't see it!

Here is an image of the framing stage. As you can see a protective paper was placed on the floors to protect them during construction. Once all of the heavy lifting is done we will remove the paper to a clean and well maintained floor.

Wiring isn't the most interesting aspect of building but we ensure an orderly process so we don't have any surprises once the wires are covered up.
