For this kitchen in Hanover - a large open room which includes a breakfast area - we maximized storage and, by addressing some issues with the flow, created efficient work zones. The large center island includes cabinetry, a sink positioned directly across from the cooktop, and a cubby for the dog's bed. An overhang on its marble top allows for comfortable seating. A 'pantry wall' with a sliding library-style ladder adds additional storage. A secondary work zone was created by adding a sink below two corner-set windows.
