This midtown town-home needed a facelift when home buyers Chaundra and Joe decided to make it theirs. They knew it would be their main residence for a while and understood it was going to take a little dust to get it to where it needed to be to fit their lifestyle and taste. The rooms were filled with decorative trim and high ceilings with arches that were not in line with the clean lined contemporary style they originally wanted. I suggested we use the trim to our advantage to solidify the style as Contemporary Parisian Loft and to save money on the renovation. To accomplish this, we started by changing the outdated colors with Sherwin Williams Snowfall for the walls and to highlight all of that gorgeous trim we chose a high contrasting Cloak Gray. American Tile has a beautiful porcelain that looks like many different types of marbles and comes in various mosaics and sizes. The chevron on the fireplace wall was an absolute best choice to add another regal touch to the living space next to the baby grand piano. The window treatments fall out of the ceiling to accentuate the height of the room and consist of light weight chenille panels and organic woven wood roman shades for privacy.
