This is an ongoing project and will have periodic updates.
The project started with the removal of the acoustic (popcorn) ceiling and retexture of the walls. A light Tan/Khaki eggshell paint is being used throughout on the walls with a creamy semi gloss Spun Cotton on the trim.
The floor to ceiling closet doors have been removed and reclaimed barn wood trim and casing is being added with 7'-6" tall rough sawn bypass doors that I am building. Also the 35 year old shelf and poles have been removed and new pole and shelving units have been added.
The family room mantle, shiplap wall and cabinet has been built from Redwood I brought down from Santa Cruz. All electrical outlets and HDMI cables have been relocated to concealed locations.
Crown molding has been added to the Family Room, Hall Way, and Master Bedroom/Bathroom.
The Master Bath vanity wall has had pine shiplap applied, painted white then antiqued with a Java glaze and finally sealed with polyurethane. The vanity lights have been replaced with oil rubbed bronze fixtures with hammered glass and vintage Edison bulbs. The mirrors have also been replaced with my handcrafted mirror frames that I have used on other projects.
