This 50sf bathroom was renovated to provide maximum efficiency & storage, as well as to allow the owner to age in place. A deep, under-mounted, flat-bottomed tub provides easy access. (The tub deck height is about 18" to allow the user to sit on the edge and swing their legs over into the tub. Because it is flat-bottomed, a teak bench can later be added for seated bathing.) Center-mounted plumbing fixtures and unique soap dish grab bar allow for access from either side of the tub. Rainshower & handshower offer different bathing options. The floors are heated for efficient heat (& added luxury!) and a towel warmer is included in the design. The vanity is a custom piece made with locally reclaimed wood, as are the shelves and window sill. The flooring is a colorful cement tile from Mexico, which really gives the room its personality.
